Kind of Dominant Paradigms that can be & must be subverted
|

Any scientific or engineering revolution requires subverting a deeply entrenched flawed dominant paradigm. Any attempts to questioning validity of root belief system for undermining deeply entrenched flawed dominant paradigm would be perceived to be arrogant, disrespectful and heresy (by experts who have been deeply indoctrinated into the dominant paradigm). Any such attempts can’t be an exception to this rule: no real revolution ever happened without facing fierce resistance and hostile opposition.

Any paradigm can be and must be subverted, if and only if it is rooted in lies or untested and unproven flawed belief system. A paradigm is said to be rooted in a belief, if large chunks of its BoK (Body of Knowledge) is accumulated by relying on the belief. In other words, the belief system provided the foundation for accumulating the BoK. A dominant paradigm can be subverted if and only if, it is rooted in flawed beliefs or its very foundation comprises one or more lies.

The geocentric paradigm was subverted in 17th century, only because it was rooted 2300-year-old belief “the Earth is static at center” and mankind accumulated huge BoK (Body of Knowledge) for geocentric paradigm for 1800 years until 16th century by relying on the lie. Existing Heliocentric paradigm can be subverted, if and only if it is rooted in such lies. There is no exception to this rule: Any dominant paradigm can be subverted, if and only if its BoK is rooted in flawed beliefs or lies. In other words, no scientific or engineering paradigm can be subverted, if it is not rooted in lies. So, no paradigm including existing dominant software engineering paradigm can be subverted, if it’s BOK is not rooted in flawed beliefs or lies. |

Any paradigm rooted in lies can be and must be subverted, because no meaningful scientific or technological progress is possible until dominant flawed paradigm is subverted. For example, mankind’s scientific knowledge would be still in the dark ages, if the lie (i.e. the Earth is static) at the root of the geocentric paradigm were not yet exposed. All the great scientists born during past 400 years (e.g. Newton, Einstein, Bose, Max Planck, or Maxwell) could not have made any tangible contribution, except may be exposing the error at the root of geocentric paradigm. Each of them could have wasted their hard work and passion in pursuit of fool’s errand (e.g. to make sense of inexplicable epicycles and retrograde motion of the geocentric paradigm). Except exposing the flaw or lie, there is no other way to make real progress. |

In the existing dominant software engineering paradigm is rooted in such flawed beliefs or lies, there would be no other way for making real progress until exposing the flaws or lies. Researchers end up wasting their efforts on making sense of the inexplicable epicycles of software engineering. Hence, existing dominant software paradigm can be and must be subverted, if it is rooted in such flawed beliefs. We intend to demonstrate proof backed by overwhelming evidence and facts to convince research community and larger software engineering world that existing dominant software engineering paradigm is rooted in 50 to 60 years old flawed belief system or lies..

Any attempts to question or expose the flawed beliefs at the root of any dominant paradigm faces huge skepticism and fierce resistance from the community of researchers, engineers and experts, who have been deeply indoctrinated into the dominant paradigm and practicing their trade by relying on the huge BoK of the dominant paradigm, where the BoK accumulated for many decades. Any disruptive scientific discoveries or technological inventions rooted in such discoveries are (by very nature) supposed to face huge skepticism and resistance. |

Therefore, such disruptive scientific discoveries or technological inventions can’t be and must not be judged and/or rejected based on initial skepticism and resistance. Unfortunately, there is no other way to subvert a dominant paradigm except confront and overcome the resistance from research community. We have no other way except creating a sound plan for overcoming the expected resistance and raise more than enough funds for executing the sound plan. |

I am not saying that such inventions can’t be proved upfront. I am only saying such inventions can’t be proved using short presentation within couple of hours or sending few short documents for review by email. It requires lot more than 2 hours (may be as high as 16 to 20 hours) to convince experts and researchers, who have been deeply indoctrinated into the dominant paradigm. Proof backed by overwhelming evidence and facts for our discoveries and inventions that are rooted in our discoveries can be proved upfront, but one must expect huge skepticism and resistance initially and open to look at the proof and evidence to overcome initial skepticism & resistance. |

Successfully subverting an existing dominant paradigm implies proving (1) experiences such as observations of epicycles and retrograde motions are nothing more than illusions and (2) large chunks of BoK (Body of Knowledge) accumulated (by software researchers around the world for many decades or generations) to make sense of the epicycles are flawed. For example, saying the fact “the Sun is at the center” in 16th century offended common sense and conventional wisdom, because it implied that the whole BoK existed then was illusion. |

| I am sure, such statement must have had hurt egos of proud scientists and researchers, who were proud of their contributions for expanding the BoK for then dominant geocentric paradigm. I am sure, proud researchers or experts would be offended, if an unknown person out of the blue says that most of the things they knew in their field of expertise are fiction or illusions. Unfortunately, we are in such unenviable position of convincing researchers that what they know, beliefs and/or experience is illusion or lies. This likely attract their wrath such as personal attacks. |
